I have spent the last 18 years making costumes and accessories for film, TV, theatre, and fashion designers. I’ve been lucky enough to work with many great designers, actors other makers and directors. In March 2020, as filming stopped around the world, I worked with a team in Surrey to make PPE for our local doctors and nurses. As the need for face coverings for the general public became apparent, having previously made them for refugee camps in Greece when they became mandatory there, I decided to use my skills to create face coverings which people can love.

When I looked to make face coverings for my family I discovered they are uncomfortable to wear even for the length of a train journey. I have tried to work on the pattern, making it as comfortable as it can be. Face coverings are the first piece of clothing most people will see - I believe we should have coverings which are as interesting as the rest of our clothes!

So, I set out to make coverings for adults and children which are practical, comfortable, and pleasing on the eye.
